This guide accompanies you in configuring your Gmail account for sending emails via Flexina online invoicing software. To ensure better security and good deliverability, we recommend using a professional Gmail address.
⚡️ Using a dedicated Gmail account improves the traceability of your sends and reduces email filtering risks.
1 Enable IMAP in Gmail
- Access Gmail's IMAP settings via this link
- In the "IMAP Access" section, check "Enable IMAP"
- Save the changes

2 Enable Two-Step Verification
- Access your Google account's security settings
- Enable two-step verification and follow the instructions

3 Generate App Password
- Access the App passwords section
- Select "Other (custom name)" and name the app "Flexina"
- Click "Generate" and copy the displayed password

4 Configuration in Flexina
- Access the email settings in Flexina
- Select "Gmail or Google Workspace" as the sending mode
- Enter your username
- The settings will be pre-filled and you'll just need to enter the app password

ℹ️ Make sure to use the app password and not your regular Gmail password.
5 Verification Points
- Verify that IMAP mode is enabled in Gmail
- Ensure that two-step verification is active
- Perform a test send from Flexina
- Use the app password, never your main password!
